What is the Google “related ads”?

More search marketers are reporting seeing PPC ad grouping by segments and categories for certain search queries. Google began testing this new layout for general and brand terms in Google AdWords that showed “Related to [search term]” last June, and it seems it has rolled out more broadly in the last few days.

We are so used to the word – Instant. Instant Coffee, Instant Noodles, Instant Soccer results via mobile and etc. We are also accustomed to instant gratification in search. We can set ads live in the morning, and within a few hours know how consumers are responding.

COE rises to $70k!

Following staggering COE premium hikes two weeks ago, COE prices have again skyrocketed to their highest levels in 13 years at the end of the latest bidding exercise on Wednesday. COE premiums for the Open Category jumped $11,202 to $76,102, while the price for cars over 1,600 cc rose $9,499 to $72,001.

Facebook founder named Time’s ‘person of year’

NEW YORK (AFP) – – Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday beat WikiLeaks chief Julian Assange to be crowned Time magazine’s “person of the year” — even though the weekly’s own readers thought it should be the other way around. Zuckerberg, only 26, is the second youngest person named to the cover of Time’s ritual annual issue.

Man found dead at Queenstown MRT

Yet another suicide case… A man is found dead on the tracks of Queenstown MRT station (File photo) A Chinese man in his 40s was found dead on the MRT track at the Queenstown station on Monday evening. Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) received an emergency call at 8.16pm about the incident.

Ex-M1 staff stole 3,400 high-end smartphones

What is the world coming to? So much corruption..even in Singapore? A former M1 employee stole 3,414 high-end smartphones and sold them for $2.09 million, the Singapore telco has alleged. According to court documents filed by M1 last week, Mr Matthew Yeo Kay Keng, 35, has apparently been stealing handsets since 2008, and using the money he got through their sales to buy luxury cars and designer watches, reported The Straits Times (ST).

Bukit Panjang gangster slashers arrested

Six men have been arrested in connection with Monday night’s Bukit Panjang slashing attack that left several youths injured. Aged between 15 and 23 years old, the parang-wielding gang attacked several teens in two separate incidents on Monday. First, a 20-year-old assistant technician was slashed in the back and legs at around 10pm at Block 418 Fajar Road.

Thomson Fertility Centre error

When Thomson Fertility Centre’s error in giving a couple the wrong sperm during an IVF was discovered, the Health Ministry took a system approach, said Mr Khaw, in his first public comments on the incident on Saturday. He spoke on the matter at the sidelines of a community event, where he also stressed on the need to move away from witch-hunting, reported The Sunday Times.
